NEW DELHI: The state leadership has hinted that Oommen Chandy, Ramesh Chennithala, MPs K Muraleedharan and Shashi Tharoor will not contest in Nemom. Oommen Chandy will likely contest in Puthuppally itself.

The Congress has asked Forward Bloc All India General Secretary G Devarajan about entering the fray in Dharmadam, the CM's constituency. But as the Forward Bloc is with the Left Front in Bengal, they will not be willing to field Devarajan against Pinarayi Vijayan. If Forward Bloc does not want Dharmadam, it will be taken over by the Congress. If RMP leader KK Rema contests in Vadakara, the UDF will support him.

The disputed ten

The Congress leadership hints that the ten constituencies where there is a dispute in candidate selection are Nemom, Kollam, Kundara, Thripunithura, Kalpetta, Nilambur, Thavanur, Aranmula, Kanjirapally, and Pattambi. There is confusion regarding Kazhakkootam and Vattiyoorkavu as well.
