KOLLAM: Dramatic scenes at the Congress office in Kollam over the assembly seat. DCC president Bindu Krishna burst into tears in front of the activists who came to see him. Bindu Krishna became emotional in front of women activists from the fishing industry who demanded that Bindu should contest.

'Bindu Krishna was the person who should have wiped our tears. Anyone other than her will be defeated. The full support of the fishermen is for Bindu', the activists said.

Earlier, all the constituency presidents had resigned following reports that Bindu Krishna might not get a seat. At the same time, Bindu Krishna responded that the party had asked him to contest in the Kundara seat and that she did not want to contest there. She made it clear that she is ready to compete elsewhere, including Dharmadam.
