THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM politburo member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday said that only the Left parties are raising their voice against BJP while all others are maintaining silence. He was inaugurating the Left Front convention in the Attingal constituency.
"Congress has been unable to respond. Their own prominent leaders are saying that the party should change this position. They have become an unresponsive group against the BJP. If the Congress wins, it will rule as the BJP," Kodiyeri said.
"The people of Madhya Pradesh, who had endured 15 years of BJP rule, brought the Congress to power. But now they are ruling as BJP. In Pondicherry, the BJP president directly controlled the activities. When he landed in Chennai for that, Rahul Gandhi landed in Kozhikode. He drove a tractor in Wayanad. At the same time, the entire Congress in Puducherry became the BJP. Why did Rahul Gandhi jump into the sea in Kollam? Is the BJP at sea? Congress continues to prove that it is incapable of fighting the BJP on land. They continue to prove that Congress cannot replace the BJP," he added.
Kodiyeri also said that the LDF will record a comprehensive win in the assembly elections. "The people, who have evaluated the work of the LDF government during the last five years, want the government to continue. During the COVID period, the government was able to provide food for all. Projects which were considered impossible were made possible by the state government. The GAIL project is one such project. Under the LDF government, the state made great strides in terms of electricity. Electricity was delivered to the state from Kudankulam. We were able to provide quality electricity to all. The policy of the Left Front is to implement the promises it made. Kerala is a state that provides pension to 70 lakh people," he added. He also said that the goal of the Left Front is financial security in all homes.
At the same time, CPM politburo member MA Baby said that there was no doubt that the Left Front should win this election in Kerala. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Left Front Kovalam constituency convention. "Farmers are committing suicide in Delhi. They are being killed by the central government. Only the Left Front can respond to these policies," he said.
