THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Congress candidates is likely to be announced in the afternoon. KPCC chief Mullappally Ramachandran will announce the list of the candidates. Most probably K Muraleedharan may be the candidate in Nemom. Muraleedharan has been summoned to Delhi by the high command.

Oommen Chandy will contest from Puthuppally itself. K Babu in Tripunithura, R Reshmi in Kottarakkara, M M Nazir in Chadayamangalam, Peethambara Kurup in Chathannur, K P Anil Kumar in Vattiyoorkavu, Bindu Krishna in Kollam and P C Vishnunath in Kundara will be the candidates. The congress candidates will be announced in all the constituencies today except Pattambi and Nilambur.

Although it was initially decided not to field MPs in the Assembly elections, K Muraleedharan was finally nominated in Nemom as they wanted a strong and popular candidate to capture the constituency.
