KOLLAM: DCC president Bindu Krishna will be contesting from Kollam. She said that she has got the official announcement and will start campaigning from today. Vishnunath will move to Kundara.

After reports came that P C Vishnunath would be the candidate in Kollam, fishermen from Wadi beach in Kollam reached DCC office and staged protests demanding to field Bindu Krishna.

Soon after news broke out that she would not be contesting, block-mandalam committee presidents had resigned. The resigned leaders had asserted that if she was not made a candidate, none of the congress activists will campaign for others.
