KOTTAYAM: Senior leader Oommen Chandy has said that the list of candidates will be out today. He also added that the official declaration of candidates will be made by KPCC chief Mullapally Ramachandran at New Delhi. “Until today I have contested only in one constituency, nobody has pressurised me to contest from Nemom,” Oommen Chandy said.

“Just wait for some more hours to know about the candidate in Nemom. Muraleedhran is not only a strong candidate in Nemom but from anywhere. Please do not fall for any apprehensions. Once the list is out from Delhi you can confirm the candidates. Otherwise, you can get wrong,” Chandy told the presspersons.

“Lathika Subash is a seat deserving leader. The Congress leadership have always considered her,” he added. When asked about the pandemonium and protests held at Puthupally on Saturday, regarding his candidature, Oommen Chandy abstained from those questions with his trademark smile.
