THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Demanding a detailed probe over the iPhone controversy CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s wife Vinodini Balakrishnan has filed a complaint before the DGP. The complaint has been filed to investigate whether her SIM card was used in the controversial iPhone under question.

Vinodini Balakrishnan in her complaint has even included her phone number. She also asserted that she had only one SIM and it should be probed whether her SIM was used on the iPhone.

She has also clarified in the complaint that the phone being used by her was bought by herself and she has the bill and other documents to substantiate that and the phone under question is not being used by anyone at home. She also added that the news which surfaced in media amounted to insulting her.

Vinodini also said in the complaint that she is ready to cooperate with customs and she didn’t appear before it last time as she had not received any summons or notice from them. She has also given the complaint to the cyber wing for subsequent investigation. Earlier the probe team has found out that Vinodini’s SIM was used in the iPhones bought by Santhosh Eepan to bribe parties concerned for getting the contracts under Vadakancherry flat project.
