THRISSUR: A fake news has been carried in BJP’s mouthpiece on the death of the LDF candidate from Nattika. Janmabhoomi reported the death of CPI candidate C C Mukundan from Nattika, in their obituary page. The news was published in the Thrissur edition of Janmabhoomi.

The e-edition of the daily has been withdrawn after the incident stoked a controversy. The CPI has informed to take legal action against Janmabhoomi. The CPI announced the name of C C Mukundan yesterday after removing Geetha Gopi, the sitting MLA of Nattika.
