NEW DELHI: The Congress candidates for the upcoming assembly polls have been declared. KPCC chief Mullapally Ramachandran has declared the candidates in New Delhi. Mullapally said that Congress believes people are the ultimate masters. Congress has taken up the fight to build-up a prosperous Kerala. He also added that promises are not just made for the sake of elections and the priority is to render an administration with a definite stand to fulfil the given assurances to the people.

The list of Congress candidates has a long list of able young people. Along with this, there are also experienced leaders on the list. This list indicates a generational change in the party. Mullapally also added that the list was complied after detailed discussions. 46 persons between the age group of 25-50 have found a place on this list. Only three above 70 are contesting this time.

The list has 55 new faces. Candidates to 86 seats were declared this time. The selection of candidates to Kundara, Kalpetta, Nilambur, Vatiyoorkavu, Tavanur and Pattambi will be done later.
