THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP leader Sobha Surendran has come up with a satirical remark against party state president K Surendran. Sobha Surendran said that the national leadership has gifted a great fortune to Surendran. She reacted by pointing out the news that Surendran will contest in Manjeshwaram and Konni at the same time.

"Neither senior leaders O Rajagopal nor Kummanam Rajasekharan has had this good fortune. The state president is contesting in two seats. I would like to wish him all the very best. I take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all my brothers and sisters who are contesting this election," Sobha said. She also added that she had informed the state and central leaderships earlier that she was not contesting this time.

Sobha Surendran had earlier said that she wanted to do her best for all the candidates. She was later instructed to be in the competition and put everything else aside. She added that she did not know how she got off the candidate list and only knew about things until two o'clock yesterday.

"Such things do not matter much. What matters to me is fulfilling the duties given by the party. The list has been announced by the national leadership. Many people have contested in the two seats. That is not a new experience. But this is the first and golden opportunity we have for Kerala and the BJP," she said.
