KASARAGOD: BJP state president K Surendran said that Konni and Manjeshwaram are his favourite constituencies. Surendran said the party had asked him to contest in two constituencies in the Assembly elections because of increased confidence. Both are favorite constituencies. He said that trust in the people is the key and he likes to believe that people in both constituencies have faith in him.

I lost the Manjeswaram seat by only 89 votes last time. The UDF captured the constituency with the help of the CPM through fraudulent voting and deception. It is imperative for the party to reclaim the constituency. Konni is an area that is emotionally close due to the events surrounding Sabarimala.

Competing in two constituencies is not new in India. It is not new in the state either. Many prominent leaders have contested in two constituencies. At the national level too, people are competing in two constituencies. He added that there is nothing wrong with that.
