THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor and MP Suresh Gopi has said that he does not belong to the group that would say Congress leader K Muraleedharan should give up his MP post to contest in the assembly elections. Suresh Gopi, who is suffering from pneumonia, said this while participating in a channel discussion program over the phone.

Suresh Gopi said that he was only praying that Muraleedharan should not lose his hard-earned 'Olympic trophy' by winning in Nemom.

Suresh Gopi also alleged that Congress leader Pandalam Sudhakaran, who was present at the discussion, had said untrue things about his appointment and salary as an MP. The actor, who is also a BJP leader, said that his salary as an MP was given to the poor and that he did not live on government money.
