KOCHI: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said that the candidate’s list of the Congress party is a revolutionary one. He said that there will be no party that has given sixty percent of seats to new faces. “There were no group considerations and conflict of interest this time. If that existed then the real fight should have been between me and Oommen Chandy. Everybody in the party is moving on in a coordinated manner,” he said.

Chennithala also said that he doesn’t know what prompted K Sudhakran to issue such a statement. “Sudhakaran is an important leader of Congress. The party workers and the people want to oust the Pinarayi government. Everybody should work together to achieve it. Therefore, from now on, there will be no space for conflicts and disagreements in the Congress party,” Chennithala said.

“The candidates in the remaining seats will be declared today. After that, the real political picture will be revealed. There exist a nexus between Congress and BJP. Both are working for a Congress-free Kerala. That is why CPM has fielded a stranger in Malampuzha and in Majeshwaram also the situation is the same,” he added.

“There will be no discussions with Lathika Subash. Huge rush of people is witnessed in poll conventions of UDF and it indicates the success of UDF,” the opposition leader said.
