KOZHIKODE: The talk in the state politics is the mass entry of BJP state president K Surendran who flew from Delhi to Manjeshwar. He needs a helicopter to reach Konni and Manjeshwaram and other constituencies of the state. Using a helicopter is more profitable than using a taxi or a car for the election campaign, said Kozhikode North NDA candidate and BJP leader M T Ramesh.
‘The BJP usually hires helicopters during election times. We criticized the chief minister for unnecessarily hiring a helicopter for Kerala using people's tax money. We don’t criticize the CPM for renting a helicopter and campaigning. We hired a copter using the funds of the party. In the present situation, hiring a helicopter is much cheaper than taking a taxi or car from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, said M T Ramesh.
M T Ramesh said there will be an active presence of K Surendran in South Kerala and North Kerala and he contesting in two constituencies will benefit the party. K Surendran had earlier said that a helicopter had been deployed for election campaign as he cannot run and reach anywhere.
