KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said that the Dharmadom constituency has been witnessing exciting participation of women and children in the election campaign. He said that the opponents are getting worried by the increasing support for LDF in the state. The CM was speaking after his campaign tour in Dharmadom. According to the CM, the opponents are trying to divert the discussions by artificially creating news. The Chief Minister also demanded that the Congress, which has said that the contest against BJP in Nemom will be a trump card, should talk about how it lost its votes in the previous election.

"The Congress and the BJP have been cooperating with each other for some time. If one party makes an allegation in the morning, the other party will make the same in the evening. The two are working in mutual understanding to cover up important issues in Kerala," Pinarayi Vijayan said.

"Both the Congress and the BJP had accused the government of not being interested in giving jobs to young people. The PSC issued appointment orders for 1,58,000 people. The state has seen a 31 percent drop in the number of COVID patients in the past week. 27057 people are undergoing treatment in the state. This is the lowest rate of transmission in the last six months. The Centre commended the state for reducing test positivity. About 14 lakh people have been vaccinated so far," the CM added.
