NEW DELHI: The Congress has announced its candidates for six of the seven remaining seats in the assembly elections. Veena S Nair will contest from Vattiyoorkavu while Firoz Kunnamparambil will be the candidate in Thavanur. The other candidates are PC Vishnunath (Kundara), T Siddique (Kalpetta), VV Prakash (Nilambur) and Riyas Mukoli (Pattambi).

However, the party is yet to announce its candidate in Dharmadom against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The UDF may support the mother of the Walayar girls who will be contesting as an independent candidate in Dharmadom.
