KOCHI: A woman, who attempted to smuggle drugs abroad, was arrested at the Nedumbassery airport on Tuesday. The arrested has been identified as Thrissur Venginissery native Ramiya (33). The Nedumbassery police have seized 1.21 kg of hashish oil from her. She had reached the airport to travel to Bahrain.

It was the CISF that informed the police about the woman. Following this, a detailed inspection was conducted by the police and the hashish oil was found.

Rural District Police Chief K.S. Karthik said that the incident will be investigated in detail.
