KALPETTA: Posters appeared against T Siddique. The posters said that they don’t want an imported candidate in Wayanad. The posters appeared in the name of ‘Save Congress Forum’. The posters said Wayanad DCC should be approved and that there are many deserving candidates in the district.

Leaders of the district opposed Siddiqui's candidature for the lone general seat in Wayanad from Kozhikode without any group differences. Leaders like KPCC vice president K C Rosakutty and former DCC president P V Balachandran had opposed Siddique’s candidature.
