THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP candidate of Nemon and senior leader Kummanam Rajashekaran rubbished the allegations of RSS ideologue R Balashankar. The allegation that there is a secret understanding between the BJP and the CPM is totally baseless, Kummanam said. It could be understood if examined the voting pattern, he said.

Kummanam said there is progress in the BJP votes in Thiruvananthapuram. The BJP was in the second place in the capital city when Shashi Tharoor won the last Lok Sabha elections. There is no need for the BJP to form an unholy nexus with anyone. Many would say different things and that is not the opinion of the BJP and it is their personal point of view, he said.

R Balashankar had harshly criticised the BJP state leadership. He said that he was deliberately avoided in Chenganoor and seat was denied due to the understanding between the BJP and the CPM.
