THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: I will start campaigning for the LDF from Friday, said P C Chacko who quit the congress party recently and joined the NCP. Chacko said he will share the dais with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Kongad. While talking to the media, he said the chances of victory for the congress are slim.
Till the announcement of the assembly polls, the fight between the UDF and the LDF was fifty-fifty. The Congress’ selection of candidates was good and if they had worked unitedly, they could have won. Today it has ruined completely, he said.
Retaining power is usually impossible in Kerala, but what is going to happen is the continuous rule of the LDF. The Left Front will resolve all differences and move forward and will be able to function in a good manner. The congress will go behind than expected, he said.
Chacko left the congress a few days ago. There is no party called Congress in Kerala, only ‘A’ Congress and ‘I’ Congress are there. Seat sharing by these two groups are only there, he had alleged. He later joined the NCP.
