THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: General secretary of AICC K C Venugopal said that all leaders of the UDF jointly decided the candidates. He clarified that the allocation of seats was a collective decision and he had no other intention in it.

Venugopal said a decision on the UDF candidate against the chief minister in Dharmadom will be taken soon. All the disputes should be seen as a small fight in the Congress family. There is no doubt that the selection of candidates this time was as per the winnability factor. He added that he will not respond to the criticisms of K Sudhakaran.

Venugopal said this time the chances of victory are high. The Congress has its own style of selecting the chief minister. Leaders including Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala will decide on the chief minister of Kerala. Venugopal said that he is not eyeing that post and the speculations circulating in such a manner are baseless. He added that his only goal is to work for the UDF government to come to power.
