KANNUR: BJP senior leader PP Mukundan has expressed his disagreement with the statements made by O Rajagopal, the party's sitting MLA. Mukundan said that O Rajagopal was not thinking about the consequences and that his statements were not far-sighted. He said this in an interview with a Malayalam news media.
"O Rajagopal does not speak by looking at the value of the word. He has been given all the considerations in the party. He was even made a Union Minister," PP Mukundan said. His recent statement in favor of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his statement that the Congress-League-BJP alliance in Kerala was true were controversial. He said that there was a BJP-Congress understanding in Nemom in 2016.
At the same time, PP Mukundan agreed with O Rajagopal's stand on the candidature of K Muraleedharan in Nemom. " One should not underestimate the power of the opponent. Personal influence is something that voters pay attention to. Muraleedharan is a strong opponent who had won in Vattiyoorkavu. He is the one who defeated someone like P Jayarajan in Vadakara, " PP Mukundan said.
