PALAKKAD: The images of voters washing and touching the feet of BJP candidate E Sreedharan in Palakkad constituency are being circulated. A voter is seen receiving him with garlands and kneeling down before him. Another is seen receiving him by washing his feet. Many including women are touching his feet and greeting him.

The photos are widely criticised saying these are cultural values of ancient times and that casteism and aristocracy are reflected in the images of the voters touching the feet of the candidate.

E Sreedharan is very active throughout the constituency since the Palakkad election campaign started. E Sreedharan has promised to make Palakkad the best city in Kerala in two years.
