KOCHI: ED has approached the Supreme Court seeking to quash the bail given to Sivasankar. ED has raised the contention that the accused Sivasankar is trying to sabotage the entire case using his influence in the government. The probe agency also alleged that he is also trying to make fake evidence against the probe officials.

ED has informed Supreme Court that Kerala police have registered cases against the probe officials. The agency informed the apex court that the state government in Kerala itself is creating obstructions over implementing rule of law. ED has also alleged that a high-level conspiracy is hatched in the case to show that the chief minister is the victim and as part of it, the testimony of a civil police officer was changed.

The crime branch has registered a case against the ED officials probing the life mission case. The case was registered on the testimony of the woman police officer who testified that ED officials pressurised the gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh to get conducive testimony.
