THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The NSS has lashed out at the state government over the Sabarimala issue. The CM has indirectly criticized the NSS's stance by maintaining that Kanam Rajendran did not say anything provocative. If there was a clear and honest stand on the protection of the faith, there would not have been much confusion among these leaders. This is the reason why believers distrust them, the NSS said in a statement.

'The Chief Minister has indirectly criticized the NSS's stance in this regard by justifying that Kanam Rajendran did not say anything provocative in the Sabarimala issue. The Nair Service Society has taken the same stand on the protection of faith since the beginning of the Sabarimala case and will continue to do so. However, the state government has not taken any stand in favour of the believers', the NSS said.

A march was held in front of the secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday to protest against Kanam Rajendran's statement against the NSS. It was attended by activists of the organisation and there was no politics in it, the NSS added.
