KANNUR: While claiming that a third force is emerging in Kerala, Congress working president K Sudhakaran MP on Sunday said that the trend of the alternate rule of LDF and UDF every five years will soon come to an end. He was speaking at the Congress election convention in Irikkur. Sudhakaran warned that the upcoming assembly election will be crucial for the UDF and if it fails, it would strengthen the BJP.

"This will be a crucial election for us. You and I will always say that UDF will rule for five years followed by LDF rule for the next 5 years. However, that won't be the case this time. We must realise that the political landscape of Kerala is changing. A third force is emerging here. But they are not strong. Everyone needs to remember that the failure of the UDF will strengthen them. We must win and return to power," Sudhakaran said. He also said that if the UDF comes to power, it is certain that Pinarayi Vijayan will go to prison.
