THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The affidavit filed by the state government will continue over women entry in Sabarimala, said CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran. It is not the government who has to take a decision on the rituals and customs, he said.

Kanam said the affidavit has clarified that a final decision on women entry should be taken by those proficient in Hindu dharma. Let the other parties make their stand clear on gender equality, Kanam said while talking to a private channel.

Meantime, CPM politburo member M A Baby said that it is not necessary to create controversy on things that happened in the past and that the pilgrimage season in Sabarimala went off peacefully.
