THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: NSS has come up with a reply to CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran. "The vast majority of people consider their beliefs and rituals as vital. Those who forget this in the push for power will suffer setbacks. The criticism of some Left leaders against the organization over the Sabarimala issue is crossing the line", a press release issued by the NSS said.
"The position of the NSS is to protect faith and practice. It is not based on any political affiliation. There is no parliamentary ambition for the organization or the leadership of the organization. We did not go to the doorsteps of any government or political leader for prestige or political gain. To this day, it stands for the protection of the faith and social justice", the release said.
The NSS said it is always with those who defend the faith and do not see politics in it.
"In general, the vast majority of people in the world, regardless of their religion, consider their beliefs and practices as vital. Those who forget this in the push for power are sure to have their own setbacks", NSS said.
The press release also said that such criticisms against the NSS were rejected with due contempt.
