ALAPPUZHA: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that as the poll dates are nearing, the Congress party is becoming weaker. “More leaders are leaving the party. The practice of Congressman joining BJP has also begun in Kerala. Congress has proved that they are a failure in fighting against the communal forces,” he said.
“Congress which have abandoned secularism is now favoring communal tendencies. LDF is moving forward with the aim the transform Kerala into a women-friendly state. Faith and nationhood based on religion are two separate things. Everyone including the believers should unite in the fight against communal forces. There will no compromise with the communal forces,” he added.
“The reason for the UDF’s isolation in Kerala’s political scenario is due to their open and secret pacts with the communal forces. The opposition leader has alleged irregularities in the fake voters added by Congress workers. No organized effort has been made to add fake voters to the list. Isolated incidents, as did by the Congress workers might have happened,” Pinarayi said.
“NSS might have its own political stand. In every poll, they speak about equidistant policy. Sometimes, they have also adopted the right distance approach. There was nothing to criticise the government, as no lapse had happened on its part. Those who blame the government just for the sake of criticizing must understand the fact that people will reject baseless criticism against the government,” the chief minister told presspersons.
“There are certain special names given to Rahul by non-Keralites, I do not want to speak about that. Congress and BJP have the same politics and policies. CPM had always tried to follow a different approach compared to them,” he reiterated.
