KASARGOD: CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury said that he is not ready for any controversy over Sabarimala when the state is facing another round of polls. “It is a historic responsibility to ensure the victory of left front this time. Even if the final verdict on Sabarimala is out, it cannot be implemented without consulting with all stakeholders,” Yechuty told presspersons after taking part in the LDF meet held at Kasargod.

Yechury has told earlier that Sabarimala is not an electoral topic now, and some are trying to remanufacture it as an electoral hot topic. Today also, Yechury has lashed out at the central probe agencies. While addressing the election campaign meeting of Trikarippur’s LDF candidate M Rajagopal, Yechury said that the probe agencies are attacking the state government using unconstitutional means and the LDF government in the state will surely get another term.

“Kerala is a substitute for the central government which is trying to destroy the constitution. The LDF government has fulfilled 580 of the 600 poll promises given in the LDF’s poll manifesto last time. This is a record when compared with other state governments in the country,” the CPM chief said. Yechury who criticized the center for its anti-farmer measures to quell the farmers protest also added that BJP is trying to destroy the country’s culture and its inherent diversities.
