THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The arrears of increased DA for employees and welfare for pensioners will be paid in cash from July 1 to the following categories. The arrears will be paid for the period from January 2019 to February 2021.

Those who retired between January 1, 2019 and February 28, 2021, those who remained in service after closing their PF account between January 1, 2019 and February 28, 2021, those for whom PF account is not mandatory, and the family members of those who died between January 1, 2019 and February 28, 2021 will be paid the arrears in cash from July. For those who have not yet opened a PF account due to new employment, the arrears will be paid on opening the PF account.

The Finance Department has prepared pension reform norms as per UGC, AICTE and MES schemes. This also applies to retired teachers from arts and science colleges and medical colleges.
