ERNAKULAM: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that he wants to see a woman becoming the Chief Minister of Kerala. Rahul, however, said that it will take some time and that he will continue to strive for that. He was addressing a UDF election campaign meeting in Perumbavoor.

Rahul Gandhi also lashed out at the CPM over the PSC candidates' strike. During the election campaign in Kottayam, he said that the CPM should not give every job to the party members alone and should also look after the development of Kerala.

The Congress leader also said that Kerala will become the first state to implement the NYAY scheme. He explained to the people about the scheme which guarantees Rs 72,000 to the poor and farmers.

Rahul Gandhi, who started his campaign today in Chingavanam in the Kottayam constituency, sought votes for Oommen Chandy in Puthuppally. He campaigned in Kanjirapally, Pala, Kaduthuruthy and Piravom.
