TRIPUNITHURA: Union home minister Amit Shah has said that this time BJP will win more seats in the state. “But it cannot be said how many seats does the party will win. Continuation of the term is just an analysis of the media in Kerala,” he said.

“Even if the media’s inference is the continuation of term, the people may not accept it. The Sabarimala issue will reflect in the polls. The communist government has shown grave injustice to the devotees,” Amit Shah told presspersons. He also responded to the chief minister’s allegation that the centre is using its probe agencies to sabotage the state government.

“When scam occur in the states, they should be investigated by central probe agencies, not the UN agencies. Doesn’t the CM’s former principal secretary have a role in the gold smuggling case? Why the CM has ousted him from service? He must answer these questions,” the union home minister asked.

Amit Shah reached Kochi today morning as part of the poll campaign. Later he met the party workers and leaders who have the charge of campaign activities in Ernakulam and Thrissur districts. He also held talks with them on the poll preparedness of the party in the state. He also took part in the roadshow and in the party’s general meeting at Kanjirapally. Large scale preparations were done in Tripunithura to welcome the union home minister. Hundreds of NDA workers showed up for the roadshow ignoring the soaring summer temperature in the state.

At 2 pm in the afternoon, he will speak in the general meeting of the party to be held at Puttingal Devi temple ground. At 5 pm Amit Shah will reach at Kanjikode in Malampuzha, where he will take part in a roadshow to be held between Kanjikode and Satrappadi. After the roadshow in Palakkad, he will go to Coimbatore.
