THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader A K Antony has warned that if the left gets another term in Kerala then they will unleash hell upon the state. Pride, head weight, stubbornness, spendthrift, and ever-encompassing corruption were the hallmarks of Pinarayi’s regime in the past five years.

“The women and Ayyappa devotees in the state who will go to polling booths on April 6th will never forget the contemptuous stand taken by the government on the Sabrimala issue. The government tried to bring hundreds of women to the shrine with police security. Be it how many times, Pinarayi issues justification, the people of Kerala are never going to forget those unfortunate incidents. The government-led attempts to allow women to the shrine will remain in the minds of Keralites forever,” Antony said.

“The government tried to ensure the entry of women into the shrine, even before the final verdict of Supreme Court was out. The government should never have followed such an uncompromising stand on the issue. Without calling for an all-party meet to discuss the issue, Pinarayi took the stand to implement the court order and thus to initiate renaissance,” the senior Congress leader alleged.

“But when the polls are around the corner, the chief minister changed his stand. The people of Kerala are never going to forgive him, be it how many times he issues justification. It was Pinarayi’s undue haste, which made the Sabarimala issue more complicated. The mothers of Kerala will rule political mendicancy to the left-front government,” Antony reiterated.
