The trailer of Fahadh Faasil movie Malik has been released on YouTube. Fahadh plays the title character of Sulaiman Malik in 'Malik' which tells the story against the backdrop of communal conflict. The film is produced by Mahesh Narayanan at a cost of Rs 27 crore. The film has been edited by Mahesh himself. It was reported that Fahadh had lost about 20 kg for the film.

The release of the film, which was slated for release in April 2020, was postponed to May 13, 2021 due to the Covid situation. Fahad can be seen in different getups in the film. The film is slated for a worldwide release.

The film is produced by Anto Joseph under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company. The film also stars Joju George, Dileesh Pothen, Salim Kumar, Indrans‌, Vinay Fort, Nimisha Sajayan and Pathinettam Padi fame Chanthunath. Sushin Shyam composed the music for the film, and cinematography was done by Sanu John Varghese. Stunts are by Lee Whittaker, stunt director of Bahubali.
