ALUVA: Senior CPI leader Annie Raja has said that the Sabarimala women entry issue is an issue related to gender equality and that the Left parties have not changed their stance regarding the issue. Speaking at a press conference in Aluva, Anne Raja said that the Left parties will not back from the Sabarimala issue and if any minister in the state speaks in favour of Sabarimala, it should not be seen as Left Front's stand. "The issue in Sabarimala is gender equality. The views of the Left parties remain unchanged," she said.

Annie Raja's statement comes at a time when both Congress and BJP are trying to attack the government by making the Sabarimala issue the main topic in the election campaign.
