panakkadu-thangal

KOZHIKODE: Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal, president of the Muslim League, has said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is acting like a dictator and the people of Kerala will respond to the dictatorial rule through elections. He criticized the Chief Minister in an interview given to a Malayalam news channel. Panakkad also clarified that the Muslim League will not cooperate with the Welfare Party in this election.

"There are no differences of opinion between Samastha and the League. The League is a strong party in the UDF. The opinion of any activist should not be considered as the opinion of Samastha. The League will not join hands with NDA," he said. When quizzed about the possibility of forming an alliance with the Left in the future, he said that the League would consider it later.

At the same time, the leadership of the League is counting on seeking minister posts according to the number of members. The league leadership said that a decision would be taken later on matters including the post of deputy chief minister.
