KOOTTANAD: Union Minister V Muraleedharan on Saturday said that the free foodgrain kits were donated by the Modi government and not by the state government. According to Muraleedharan, the Left Front is seeking votes by distributing food grains provided under the Garib Kalyan Yojana with a picture of the Chief Minister.

"If the state government has any objection to taking action for violating the rules in the distribution of food kits, it should approach the Election Commission," he said at an NDA election meeting.
