THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state BJP leadership has rejected Suresh Gopi’s statement that the UDF candidate must win from Guruvauyur. “It is his personal opinion. BJP does not have the opinion that UDF candidate must win from Guruvayoor,” party state president K Surendran said. Whereas union minister V Muraleedharan has said Surendran is the party president and only his opinion matters on the issue.
Earlier, when press persons have asked him who should win from those constituencies where BJP does not have candidates, he said that in Guruvayoor UDF’s K N A Khader must win. He also added that in such constituencies, either NOTA should be cast by the voters or efforts should be made to defeat CPM. The actor also added that he wants Khader to win from Guruvayoor and Shamseer should get defeated in Talassery.
