PALAKKAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Palakkad today to give impetus to the NDA's election campaign. Although the Prime Minister will be campaigning for NDA candidate Metro Man E Sreedharan in Palakkad constituency, the district leadership said that all NDA candidates in the district will be part of the program.

Modi will address the public at an election rally in Kottamaithanam at 11 am. BJP state general secretary and candidate of Malampuzha constituency E Krishna Kumar will preside over the function. Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, Karnataka Chief Whip Sunil Kumar, Palakkad candidate Metro Man E Sreedharan and district president E Krishnadas will attend the function.

The Prime Minister arriving in a helicopter will land at the specially arranged helipad at Indira Gandhi Stadium at 10.45 am, will be received by Palakkad Municipal Corporation chief Priya K Ajayan, various standing committee chiefs and state district office bearers. This is the first time the Prime Minister is visiting Kerala to participate in the election campaign since the announcement of polls.

Meantime, Priyanka Gandhi reaching Kerala for the election campaign will visit Alappuzha, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram districts today. Priyanka reaching the capital city at 10.45 am in a special flight will go to Kayamkulam. She will also campaign in Karunagapally, Kollam and Kottarakkara constituencies. Priyanka will arrive in Venjaramoodu at 4.15 pm and at Kattakada at 4.30 pm. She will attend a roadshow in Poojappura at 5.30 pm. The closing meet will be at Valiyathura. She will campaign in Thrissur on Wednesday.
