THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person was killed in an accident that happened while campaigning for a candidate. The accident happened at Aryanad this afternoon while campaigning for K S Sabarinathan, the UDF candidate of Aruvikkara. The congress activist killed has been identified as Pradeep (40) of Aryanad Thumbumkonam Plamoodu House.

While Pradeep was riding his bike, the door of a car parked on the road suddenly opened, hit his scooter and he fell to the ground. Although he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. Reports said the car belongs to those who came for campaigning The police have started an investigation on the incident.
