THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran had reiterated that his party would come to power if it wins 35 seats in Kerala. However, Metroman E Sreedharan believes that BJP would win at least 40 seats in Kerala this time. During a recent interview, Sreedharan said that that the party would make great strides in the state.

"The BJP will win at least 40 seats. Sometimes it can win even 75 seats," Sreedharan said. He also expressed hope that the BJP would come to power or at least take up the role of kingmaker in the state.

"The BJP has got a good chance to come to power, or at least be the kingmaker. The BJP will decide who will rule Kerala. There is a massive switchover to the BJP. Its image is different now, particularly after my joining the party. Several educated people have joined the party after seeing that a person like me who has reputation, calibre and stature has joined BJP," Sreedharan added.
