THRIKKAKARA: In the case of the drowning of 11-year-old Vaiga in Muttarpuzha, the police found that Sanu Mohan, father who is being looked for by police, mortgaged the flat and jewelery of wife Rema without her knowledge.
Remya, her sister's husband Praveen and Sanu's brother Sinumohan were taken to the flat on Monday and the documents of the gold pledge were found. The gold was pledged to two private banks in Kakkanad for Rs 11.47 lakh. Police are investigating the amount of money in which the Kangarappadi Harmony Vita Green 6A flat bought in Remya's name in 2016 has been mortgaged in which bank. The conclusion is that the flat was mortgaged with forged documents.
Police will send a sample of blood found in the bedroom of Sanu's flat for DNA testing.
Chemical tests revealed that the find was human blood. The goal is to find out if it belongs to Vaiga. Blood samples from the mother and other relatives will be collected for testing.
A team led by Thrikkakkara SI is camping in Chennai after receiving information that Sanu is in Chennai. They have also sought the help of the Tamil Nadu police.

Sanu's financial problems are thought to be due to online gambling and lottery craze. A collection of expired lotteries has been found in the bedroom cupboard and in the box of Remya's scooter.
Vaiga's age error in complaint; Kerala Kaumudi found the truth
When the father and daughter went missing, Vaiga's uncle Praveen had lodged a complaint with the Thrikkakara police stating that the child was thirteen years old. Police initially told the media that she was an eighth grade student. An investigation conducted by Kerala Kaumudi at Thevaikkal Vidyodaya School and Thrikkakara Dance School where Vaiga studied found that she was eleven years old and a fourth class student.
