KANNUR: P Jayarajan has issued a secret jibe on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He reminded through his Facebook post that the party is the captain. He also talked about the measures taken by the party leadership when the partymen issued a song, praising him earlier.

When Jayarajan quoted Kodiyeri’s words,“Everybody is a comrade and party is the captain”, in his Facebook post, the Kannur leader of CPM is silently firing at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. His Facebook post comes out just three days ahead of the polls, and it reveals the factionalism in the party which was considered to be settled.

Many are concerned over the increasing popularity of communists among the people. The left front is the flag bearer of pro-people politics and welfare politics. When we connect ourselves with the people, they will express their affection in varied ways. Some may write a song, some may put our images on the walls and some will talk to us through social media chat rooms but communists never get influenced by personality worships. As Kodiyeri said while addressing media persons, “All are comrades, party is the captain.” Therefore the right front and media should not get agitated by the mounting public support received to Chief Minister. Not individuals, people’s surety is on the party and the left front.
