THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: UDF candidate K Muraleedharan said that he will win in the assembly elections in Nemom. He said he was only aiming for first place and did not think who would get second and third place. Congress won't create any room for BJP. He also said that he entered the fray in Nemom to take away the BJP's space.
"The activities of the UDF from the booth level are strong. There is good hope for major success. In the last Lok Sabha elections, Shashi Tharoor got over 47,000 votes. In the current triangular contest, a candidate with 50,000 to 55,000 votes can win. We are targeting 60,000 votes," Muraleedharan said.
