THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Gandhi has responded against former Idukki MP Joyce George for the latter’s sexist jibe on him. Rahul said that his statement amounts to demeaning women. “It has only revealed his true mentality and am not ready to respond to such people’s statements,” he said. He was talking during an interview given to a news channel. Joyce George has earlier said that women should keep a tab on Rahul. “He will only visit womens’ colleges. He will train them to stand erect and in different postures. Rahul who still stays as a bachelor is dangerous to women,” the former Idukki MP had said.

Rahul Gandhi also mocked the surveys which favoured LDF. “The surveys which predicted another term for LDF were forged after giving money. UDF wave will lash across the state. Pinarayi must apologise for the corruption and maladministration that he committed in the last five years. CPM will never be able to oppose BJP. That is why Modi never says about CPM-free India. It is only Congress that can effectively fight against RSS. BJP can never buy the Congress MLAs in Kerala. Nyay programme is the only solution to unemployment in Kerala. Congress has failed to give due recognition to women. When the party considered youth, unknowingly women were left behind,” Rahul said.

He also criticised the investigation methods used by central agencies in the gold smuggling case. “I do not trust the investigation of central agencies. The probe agencies have taken a stand that will only help the state government. An impartial investigation is not happening. The central agencies have taken different stands in different states,” he added.
