KOTTAYAM: P C George has said that there exists electoral understanding between Left and SDPI in Poonjar. He also said that he expects minorities will not leave him this time. He was talking during an interview with a television channel.

“This time our majority will increase and it is because nobody is going to oppose me in Poonjar. LDF’s and UDF’s candidates in Poonjar belongs to outside areas, they are not from Poonjar. As both fronts are sure about defeat, they have fielded unknown and unpopular candidates in the constituency. Last time, I have received the support of SDPI. Later they changed their stand. Therefore I have decided not to have any ties with them and they are enraged over this. As they can’t beat me or kill me, they will try to insult me whenever possible. And I will respond to it,” George said.

PC George has come up with the allegation of SDPI-Left nexus, following the booing incident in Erattupetta. Earlier P C George has also alleged that it was left candidates who create problems wherever he goes. Following this, he had to face incident similar to the ordeal in Erattupetta.
