THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The open campaigning of LDF, UDF and NDA fronts came to an end without any drop in enthusiasm even though the crowded finale was banned due to Covid. The month-long ad campaign ended at 7 pm tonight. Roadshows and rallies were held all over the state with all the excitement of the campaign.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took part in the roadshow in Dharmadam while the Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala was part of the roadshow in Nedumkandam in Idukki, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi participated in roadshows in Kozhikode and Nemom.
The CM's roadshow was scheduled for 2.30 pm on Sunday.
Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi participated in the roadshow in Kozhikode. Rahul held the roadshow with the candidates of Kozhikode North and Kozhikode South constituencies. Many activists came to participate in the roadshow. He then participated in a roadshow in the Nemom constituency.
Vattiyoorkavu BJP candidate VV Rajesh and Thiruvananthapuram candidate Krishnakumar ended the campaign with a roadshow. Suresh Gopi's roadshow in Thrissur was in a campaign vehicle made in the form of a lotus. Candidate Dr KS Radhakrishnan held a roadshow in BJP's A Plus constituency, Thrippunithura. In the last hour, B Gopalakrishnan, BJP candidate in Ollur, took a walk with activists on the road to seek votes. Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attended the roadshow on behalf of JR Padmakumar.
