KOLLAM: A seven-year-old girl and an autorickshaw driver were killed after an autorickshaw collided with a car on Sunday. Three persons were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment at the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Greeshma (7), daughter of Gireesh and Manju, and autorickshaw driver Nassar (50).
The accident took place at around 11.30 am on Sunday at Perumpuzha. Greeshma's sister Ganga (13), grandmother Rajamma (63) and relative Omana (60) are undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.
Greeshma's family was on their way to visit the Oachira temple in the autorickshaw when a car, which came from the opposite direction, collided with the autorickshaw. Both Nassar and Greeshma died on the spot. The autorickshaw got completely destroyed. Nassar is survived by his wife Mumtaz, daughters Najma and Fathima.
