PATHANAMTHITTA: It has been alleged that a five-year-old girl was beaten to death in Pathanamthitta. The girl, who suffered serious injuries, was undergoing treatment at the Pathanamthitta General Hospital. The incident took place at Kumbazha in the Pathanamthitta district.

The girl is the daughter of Tamil Nadu Rajapalayam natives. Police have arrested the child's stepfather in connection with the incident. The child's mother has told the police that he had abused the child. The mother is also being questioned by the police. Meanwhile, it has been alleged that the girl was a victim of sexual abuse.
